Bob Bradley fired as USMNT Coach!!!!!!!!

Bittersweet news today as USSF has relieved Bob Bradley from his duties as USMNT coach.  In a press conference, Sunil Gulati stated that further developments will be revealed this coming Friday.  During his tenure, Bob Bradley garnered a record of 43-25-12.  His accomplishments include 1 Gold Cup championship, 3 Gold Cup finals, 1 Confederations Cup final, and advancement to the World Cup Round of 16.

Top 3 Bradley Moments:
1. June 24, 2007 - USA 2, Mexico 1 - CONCACAF Gold Cup Final - Introducing Benny Feilhaber....enough said

2. June 24 (odd), 2009 - USA 2, Spain 0 - Confed Cup Semi in which the US ended Spain's unbeaten run.  Bradley showed superior defensive tactical shape and brillliant counterattacking.  Also, I'd like to welcome you to the Jay DeMerit show

3. June 8, 2008 - USA 0, Argentina 0 - While this was typical "weather the storm" American style soccer, the US continually frustrated Messi and Co. in a time when they were ranked No. 1.  Also, after being dominated  in the first half, Bob's halftime talk inspired the team to a comanding second half revival, especially in oft-absent midfield.

I call this news bittersweet because Bradley's tenure was such an emotional rollercoaster and with that comes a certain degree of attachment.  However, the program seemed to be a stagnant place and Bradley seemed to have lost the locker room so it was a good time for a clean break.  Above all his tactical errors, the biggest thing that displeased me about Bradley came last year when the USMNT played friendlies against Poland and Colombia.  For the friendlies, Bob called up Alejandro Bedoya (who is of Colombian descent) and Eric Lichaj (he is of Polish descent).  However, he put in neither player against their respective patronage and that, to me, shows a lack of player management.  With that said, I wish Bob all the luck in the world in the future, I hear the Fire are looking for a new coach....

The problem that scares me now is hiring a new coach.  If the federation goes foreign, don't expect improvement in the near future because it takes time for foreign coaches to thrive in American soccer.  At the same token, hiring a MLS coaching stalwart might just be a new Bob Bradley, imploring sophomoric bunkering tactics with absolutely not offensive or possession guile.  Personally, stay away from any LATIN AMERICAN coach!!!!  The critics are screaming for Jurgen, but he just started his post at TFC so I'm not sure if he can be coaxed out.

Who do you see as candidates for a successor?  What are your favorite/worst Bradley moments? Share you thoughts below
