USA into the semifinals
well done by the us to come back tonight after going down 1-0 in the first half. Kyle Beckerman continued his bid for more national team playing time with the game tying blast. Kenny Cooper finished off the Panama squad in extra time from the spot after receiving a boot in the belly from a Panama defender. The US now plays Honduras in Chicago for a chance in the finals. Go get your tickets and make it a pro US crowd! I don't think that Bob needs to bring in more experience. Our goals for this tournament changed dramatically with our success in South Africa. We should continue our focus on rehab assignments and bringing experience to the next group of talent. If Bob wanted to try to bring in Feilhaber again to get him alittle more time, fine, but experience playing deep in tournaments is important for both the younger guys and the rehabing stars. Stay the course
ReplyDeleteI agree with you luke Bob should stay the course and let the veterans rest up for their upcoming seasons or get back to their current MLS teams. This Gold Cup doesn't hold any real weight because of the lack of Confederations Cup appearance and with the World Cup coming next summer.
